Macbeth writes a letter to Lady Macbeth stating the past events and she reads it in her room at Macbeth castle. In the letter it is stated that Macbeth wants to kill king Duncan but Lady Macbeth thinks he is too good of a person and says she will do it herself. There is news that King Duncan will be in Macbeth’s castle that night.
Lady Macbeth defies the stereotype of woman of that era. She is strong, independent, controlling and stubborn all of which are traits that contradict how a woman should act during the time.
